Robert Pattinson doesn’t have good things to say about his relationship, and fangirls are perspiring. I’m perspiring. Sopping wet.
Robert Pattinson hinted at “relationship trouble” with FKA Twigs in his interview with Howard Stern last week. Celebrity Dirty Laundry’s article on the topic sensationalized what he said, while Gossip Cop’s take was disregarding all of the hints Robert dropped casually. So, let’s find the truth that lyes somewhere in between the two polar opposite sources.
As both outlets reported, Howard Stern asked Robert Pattinson a flurry of questions: “You’re engaged, right?” Pattinson replied with an apprehensive, “Yeah, kind of…”
Pattinson clarified in the interview with Stern that as a rule of thumb, he doesn’t like to talk about his relationships. He notes that his fans tend to overanalyze and sometimes manufacture false scenarios about his love life. Pattinson, who has been engaged to FKA Twigs since 2015, told Stern, “It’s one of the most frustrating things in the world” that he can’t fully go public with his romance. “You kind of get stuck in this position where you have to make decisions whether you want to let the kind of crazy people in,” he continued, noting that Twilight fans can act like “a crack troop of crazies who think every single decision you’re making is creating some kind of conspiracy.”
We can certainly understand his frustration. There’s actually conspiracy theorists out there that believe he’s been secretly dating Kristen Stewart the entire time and that all of their relationships that have been public are fake. Obviously, these aren’t close to true. His relationship problems stemming from his overly flirtatious meeting with Katy Perry did in fact create a rift between Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs though. Multiple sources have confirmed hearing Robert and FKA argue heavily about this.
“I want to create a big boundary between it. But then it makes it difficult for your actual relationship,” Pattinson admitted. He added that “professional trolls” on the web often make comments that “cause hurt and pain,” and “it might seem fake to them, but it’s definitely real in your life.” That said, contrary to CDL’s phony premise about the actor hinting at “relationship trouble,” during Pattinson’s interview with Stern about FKA Twigs, he called his fiancee “super talented” and “amazing.”
Here’s the full interview for you to decide how Robert meant it for yourself.
